Ask yourself these three questions:
- How many hours of the day do you spend being less than 100% effective because your pain is causing you to lose focus?
- In the last week, how many days have you felt depressed or irritable because of your pain?
- In the past month, how many times did you say “No” to doing something you usually like to do, because you knew it would hurt?
If you answered one or more to any of the above questions, you can see how your pain is detracting from your life.
